Our trips are customizable to suit your needs. No matter what you’re after, our guests savor a tasty lunch cooked for you over an open flame riverside. You’ll dip your toes in the river and enjoy a relaxing day on the water filled with the sights and sounds of the Pacific Northwest. You can enjoy cast after cast with state of the art Temple Fork Outfitters equipment and hand tied flies or switch to conventional gear if you wish. Bring your sunscreen, fishing license and sense of adventure, we’ll provide the rest–just add water!

What You Will Need To Bring:
- All persons 12 and older will need an Oregon fishing license. The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife now has an app that you can download and purchase your license through. If you need assistance with this, your guide can help you get squared away.
- Appropriate clothing, some guests enjoy swimming in the Mckenzie
- Sunscreen and hat
- Beverages and snacks-it’s important to stay hydrated out on the water!
Fly Fishing Trips
Fly fishing trips on the mckenzie provide for plenty of opportunities using a variety of techniques. We can provide all equipment or some anglers prefer to use their own, either way, we’ve got you covered. If you’d like to try something new in the world of fly fishing, we can teach you to swing wet flies and streamers for trout (trout spey) or try tight line nymphing (euro nymphing). All of our trips are fully customizable, just let us know how you’d like to fish and we’ll take care of the rest.
Conventional Fishing (bait and tackle)
Bait and tackle trips are ideal for the beginning angler, kids and people who just want to have a nice relaxing day on the water with a lot of opportunities. The middle portion of the Mckenzie river has relatively tame water and one of the state’s most unique fisheries. This stretch of the Mckenzie is one of the only moving waterways that is stocked with hatchery trout, which provide lots of action throughout the day.
Due to the use of bait, these trips will be booked above Hendricks Bridge Wayside near the town of Walterville.
Sunset Dinner Cruise
Order a pizza or your favorite meal and meet us at the lake for a relaxing evening on the water. These trips can accommodate up to 4 people and are a nice way to unwind at the end of the day.
